Welcome to Kimbe International School

[Not a valid template]

I wish you a warm welcome to the website for Kimbe International School and trust you will find the information about our school will be of assistance to you. It is a real honour and privilege to have been appointed to lead Kimbe International School, part of the International Education Agency of Papua New Guinea.

Together with the Governors, staff, parents/carers and the local community, I aim to create an outstanding school for your children – an establishment providing an excellent academic and enriched curriculum, a commitment to excellent student behaviour, and a place where all students achieve their full potential whilst enjoying school and feeling safe and happy. Please contact the school if I can be of any further assistance.

Mr. Craig Gibson

In 2014 the school  made a video to the music of Pharrel Williams “Happy” and this can be seen on the right.

Our school caters for students from all parts of Papua New Guinea and around the world, ranging from 3 year olds at Foundation level through to Grade 12. Grade 12 students are able to achieve both a PNG Upper Secondary School Certificate and an Australian Capital Territory Board of Senior Secondary School Year 12 Certificate.
Our site is also a campus of the Port Moresby IEA TAFE College and provides a limited number of TAFE courses both for our Upper Secondary Students and members of the public who wish to upgrade their qualifications. Students will be challenged and encouraged to succeed and feel part of the school community.

We are situated in Kimbe, the administrative centre of West New Britain Province, Papua New Guinea. Our school is owned and operated by the International Education Agency of Papua New Guinea which is the country’s oldest and largest private education provider. It is an independent, coeducational, international school (Foundation (age 3) – Grade 12 (age 18)) that operates within the framework of the International Education Agency (a non profit organisation which operates the school). The school and the International Education Agency organise regular inservice activities and conferences often featuring leading educators from overseas.
